Modular data centre, design to commissioning

DeliveredCampusConfidentiality: anonymised

Challenge

A capacity requirement with a fixed service date and an uncertain growth curve, on a site with a constrained utility supply. A conventional build programme could not meet the date, and a fixed-capacity design would have been obsolete within the first growth step.

Solution

A modular topology sized for the declared growth path rather than the first-day load, with the power and cooling skid engineered as a separate module so capacity can be added without touching live halls. Commissioning was run under simulated load with client witness at every level.
