Logistics centre, ground to commissioned systems
Challenge
A distribution facility where the previous programme had separated the building contract from the systems contract, producing cable routes that could not be used, technical rooms sized before the load was known, and a systems package discovered on site.
Solution
One contract covering both the building and its systems, with technical rooms, risers, routes and equipment plinths dimensioned from the systems design before the foundation was poured. Interface management was internal rather than contractual.
